When you see this Bridge, it's the starting point of the LONG WALK! yes seriously! The trail was plain, easy and HOT!
My primary goal was to see the Hanging Bride and take many pictures and yes we did,. We spent here almost an hour (just kidding) taking pictures.
I barely know these guys, except those with my same LOB (Work thing) but this was great, seems like we knew each other for a year. (AHAHA!) I can recall only few moments the KULITAN AT TAWANAN.
This was not easy to most of them but Im happy cause they tried, they did it, and they had FUN!
We took our snack! and photos, then started our way back to the city! charot!

Another "best thing happen when unplanned" or yeah maybe I planned this but I didn't plan to make this happen. The weather was unpredictable I just say yes "go! rain or shine" because I already made a commitment. I don't want to disappoint them.
01. Because I was with Kuya CHARLES, a man who is always on the GO!
I thank you for coming and not being a big drawing, If you didn't come, yes we will still go but that would be a "ok! what to do now? Am gonna do this plan really all alone, Im gonna do this with two newbie. Imagine that? That was a little tough for me,!" And of course whose gonna take plenty of pictures and videos? He is the one who never get tired of taking it.
02. I finally accomplished jampol's request.
It's not actually a request, was it? He is my workmate who keep on asking if I have a climb because he says he wanna join, So that's why, Im sure he had fun and I did not disappoint him, so that was a :))).
04. Had a chance to witnessed this VIEW
A good start! I feel blessed when I saw this, the beautiful Lobo, Batangas port/beach. Lucky to have a good shot!
07. Good weather
We were prepared for the possible rainfall due to LPA, and we did expect a heavy rain, so I was praying for a safe trip, but God is just so good to gave us a good weather. The sun was shinning so bright.
09. Best view so I got a best shot.
Im not a photographer, I just love taking pictures, and I always want the best shot. Im thankful to my HTC Desire HD A9191 for giving the nice output. Mesmerizing nature will always top on the list why I love climbing mountains,
10. Yes! We made it.
In spite of short time, we still managed to finish it for one day and had fun, The jeep going to terminal was until 5pm only so we need to be hurry or else we were gonna sleep somewhere, no money, no food, no water.

Major jump-off: Brgy. Hall of Malaya, Pililla
Days required / Hours to summit: 1 day / 3-4 hours
Features: Views of Laguna Lake and Southern Tagalog mountains
Okay! as you can see from my blog post about my climb, I do not have an itinerary. it's because I find it hard to remember our time travel etc. hahah
Meet-up place was at EDSA crossing, we took Jeep to (Tanay, Rizal) fare is 58Php and another jeep going to the jump off (Malaya, Pililia) for 23php . Registration is 20 php.
We had our lunch first before we start trekking, there were available "kainan" there.
Always remember that the first 30mins. of trekking is f*ck*ng tiring! hahahah yes it was! and always, I noticed it during my climbs.
I never like climbing with a tour guide, unless it is really required! so if you wanna climb with me, do not expect a tour guide. hahah. I enjoy getting lost.
So we got lost. hahah. after a long walk we were no longer able to see a way! then locals told us that we took a wrong way!
By the power of asking the right direction, finally we already reached the Manggahan Falls,
Because we thought that the weather was good and it was pretty hot, we decided to spend our lunch at the falls and did swimming!
However we were wrong! after we exploring the levels of falls, took pictures and got enough rest, there it was, the rain came :(
We hastily continued our trek to the summit with the heavy rain, we do not have raincoat, thanks to my umbrella, or else all my stuff will be so so wet.
Levels of falls.
Assault! It was hard because the trail was slippery & steep. We were hoping that once we reached the summit, then the rain would stop, unfortunately the rain stopped when we were going home :) so sad because we did not enjoy much the view, and we got lost for the second time. haha
Foggy isn't it?. we look cold. hahah.
I'm always wondering what's over the mountain I never climbed or the street I never strolled or the path I never walked? Where will that road take me? What is there to learn if I go in the opposite direction? Who will I meet? What will they teach me? What will that open up inside of me?"
The moment when you get lost, just take it easy and find the right way, hahah, it was fun when we noticed that we were taking the wrong trail. It's not because we do not know, it was due to heavy fog, and really zero visibility!
An aching feet and about to give up, hahah,. Just a bit of push! Thanks for not giving up on us.
Sometimes trusting stranger isn't but, and it wasn't bad at all.

When I started climbing mountain, it has been my source of happiness since then. I don't know, what I feel whenever I'm on summit is far different from reality, so extraordinary joy! its so madrama.. my gosh! hahah but its true, natures do understand me when everybody doesn't.
I always wanted to try climbing alone, but I dunno what came into my mind when I invited someone that I've never met before. Yes a total stranger "do not ask me how our communication started" hahaha! I was surprised when he said " yes im going!" pero syempre may DOUBT pa siya! ikaw ba naman ayain ng hindi mo kakilala. hahah.
So there we go! we went to Mt. manabu, with my sister and Mr. Robert,- my sister went with us unplanned, well I dunno her thing why! and that was a diff. story :).
The travel was good! It was que sera sera! I just have my photo of a itinerary from some blogger I got on internet, it was served as our guide.
I was thankful because of the good weather, windy at least! We came and back home dry :)
The trail was muddy, obviously due to rain maybe a days ago! so it was pretty not easy. Pero hindi mawawala yung FUN kahit nakakapagod.
I just met him the day I climbed Manabu, he was from Mindanao :) . Wondering why I had this guts to invite him and trust him?? Okey I was totally bored doing same thing all day so I tried to do my fav thing with someone who doesn't know me and likewise, that was the reason why! and based on my experience it was fun. really fun! ok Im not flirting, Im just being friendly, and what I realized was' I proved that there is always good in someone's heart and soul "naks!" haha true!
He has sense of photography. haha he told us a lot of his bad experience in Manila, I dunno why I found it FUNNY! maybe the way he delivered it. hahaha
They were with me. Oh there were flies too "langaw " on top! haha kainis!
When you see a big cross! well then that's the summit. I don't know the story behind the cross, just like what I have said, I'm not so interested with the history of place I go, but if I have time I could do some research.
As you can see, I do not have a best photo shot! First these are just taken from my HTC mobile and the sky was dark. hahahaha
Word from Duray:
Trusting stranger isn't bad, and wasn't bad at all. Relax, don't be so judgmental, avoid thinking negative things to people, do not conclude. Do not assume that they would hurt us, that they would do this or that! Just be wise! huh?? anu daw? Wala ang akin lang naman eh hindi ako nag iisip ng masama sa kapwa tao, I made them feel that I trust them, and you know what?, good-vibes will come to you, You will be able to think and decide wisely if you are on your calm mind. Wla di ko pa rin magets :( basta kapag hindi ka ng iisip ng masamang mangyayari sayo wala talagang masamang mangyayari sayu! hahaha WHATEVER!
Our packed lunch! FROM JOLLIBEE :)
After taking photos, talking, laughing, enjoying the cold breeze, we decided to go down because the dark sky was threatening us. hahah.
This kid we met along the way. A local.
FINALLY! walalng kahirap hirap, just 3 hours we spent on trek including the stay at peak, in return? another bliss experience.
One of the SPLENDID mountain I've seen!
Before that you might wanna know something about MT. GULUGOD BABOY, OK ill google it for you cause actually I did not climb it to know the story of the mountain! haha
MT. GULUGOD-BABOY aka MT. PINAGBANDiRAHAN
Anilao, Mabini, Batangas
Jump-off point: Philpan Dive Resort, Anilao, Mabini
Features: Scenic views of Batangas Bay and Balayan Bay
That's all I know! yes I don't know why I am so interested with climbing but Im not so "yeah its like, I don't care about the history" :P
How to get there?
Seriously? The last time I checked we climb it on June 28-29, 2014 and Im just sharing it now! "July 26 "KATAMARAN PROBLEM" sorry for that, so the point is I totally forgot the exact way to get there :( I almost forgot everything happened during the climb, the only thing that I won't surely forget is the reason why the mountain captured my heart! nakz!
I will just upload more photos,
Team Paasa already made the plan however I decided not to go because (oh personal reason. haha) but they were just really sweet so they convinced me to come! (OH it doesn't make sense) anyway! How's the trail?
Special mention to Elly and Ivan, we met them at Mt. Daraitan and now they were with us at Mt. Gulugod Baboy! Great right??
Ayown! I remember it! we bought raw meat at the market "somewhere in Batangas" :D before we start our trek, so since we did not bring a fridge :) we have to cook it immediately. I dont think I need to explain why.
This was the first stopover, you will able to get water here for free, you better get enough because there is no water source at the camp site/summit.
We reached the summit at??!! ok Im not sure basta dapit hapon! The cold breeze was really refreshing, we were lucky because we just arrived on time, wait! what I do mean by on time?? I'll try to explain why! when I said on time it doesn't really literally mean that we made it according to ETA! No it's not!
Everyday has a different sunset. Splendid because I just saw here one of the amazing sunset!
The preparation of our dinner and breakfast
Splendid because of the fascinating view! I don't have the best shot but I saw it with my own very beautiful eye! :)
My First Night Trek with Multiple Fun.
May 31, June 1, 2014
2, 157 ft asl
Sunrise, Sea of clouds, Tinipak River, Tinipak Cave, Rock climbing
Hello, weekend na naman, the team already agreed to climb Mt. Daraitan, this night trek was not on our plan, but because we are team Paasa, many unexpected things is possible to happen.
When we reached Tanay Market we bought foods for our survival on top of the mountain for 1 day, Wala ng jeep so we rode a tricycle going to jump off. 100 per person 1 - 5.
The road was rough, rocky and bumpy, "mahirap talaga ang byahe, and took more than an hour :(
Ayan nasiraan pa yung nasakyan namin, so hinintay namin naunang tricycle para balikan kami.
Before we start our trek, we registered first at Barangay Hall (20per person) Tour guide is required! (we were asked to pay 1000 pesos for the whole service. ) We started at 8:30 pm. We reached the summit at 12mid.
It's been my dream to try trekking at night, obviously it was quite challenging and for me, it has more fun. So Mt. Daraitan thanks for making my dream into reality.
How's the trail? Okey it was steep, honestly, one of the tiring trail I have tried. "It was more pataas," It's narrow, many virgin trees and sharp rocks. What is good on night trek? Well hindi kami masyadong nasunog sa araw, at medyo natipid namin ang aming water. There is no water source along the trail even at the summit, you must bring enough water..
The summit. We decided to camp at the summit so we will not miss the Sunrise and Sea of clouds, anyway it was just a minute away from the campsite. The peak was small, can accommodate 2-3 tent. Oh Hammock will do, as many as you want ;)
When we reached the camp site we quickly prepared our dinner "or midnight snack?!" no need to deny, hahah I was so hungry, or we were tired and hungry!
Thanks to Jona for providing the burner set. hahah NICE! Thanks to our tour guide for the bonfire! Our dinner was adobo, daing, and tocino. hmmp!
After our dinner, we had a little drinking session ( or they had??hahah because I was exhausted, I just chose to take a nap and wait for the sunrise na yun naman talaga ang gustung gusto gustung gusto makita! hahah clever huh! yes! )
Yes! i woke up because I heard some foot steps and voices, " I got up like there was an emergency because I thought I was late to witness the thing that I was waiting for. Luckily !! The highlight of MT. DARAITAN, SEA OF CLOUDS AND BEAUTIFUL SUNRISE :)
Stoked by the view, I cannot express by words the happiness I felt when I saw the sunrise and feel the clouds.
_IGNORE YOUR SLEEPINESS, DO NOT MISS TO ENJOY THE SCENERY :)
The water source of some area in Bgy. Nakar Quezon Province.
The water was fresh and cold, Im not so sure if it's clean.
We met these travel junkie along the trail going to Tinipak River, hahah we talked like we already know each other, it was fun having a "kulitan" with these palz!
PHOTOS IN TINIPAK RIVER
>wonderland!! that's all. hahaha.
After enjoying the RIVER, we did caving! My apology because I do not have a good camera to capture what's inside the cave! Bear with these shots! haha
The Double Fun (Traverse Hike w/ Biglaang swimming)
Pico de Loro
May 17, 2014
Team decided to climb Pico de Loro this was not my first time, (Click Here)I'm not supposed to go however I kept on thinking it, which means this was the right time to reach the peak of Parrot's Beak as my promised. So this is it!!
Meet up Coastal terminal in Pasay . Kinda hard for us to comply on our ETD and ETA because we are not pro with diff. weaknesses, so as a team we have to take good care of each other. nakz!
Im not gonna mention the exact time of our travel because it is really depend on how you manage your time, so since we were not running over time" chill lang" ,
Paid registration fee (25.oo). Done with our brunch at DENR.
Then we started our trek.
"Tinatamad na ako" hahahahah. Okie what else can I say, the trek was tiring but fun and we were having a good time. THATS ALL.
When we arrived at the camp site, everyone were resting, taking photos, enjoying the view and etc.
Did I just got buddies?? Here is the thing, You know what is hard qoing somewhere that you barely know or you are not sure if what is with that place? Of course going alone, I'm not that tough girl, I got frightened and that is part of being human, but what makes me diff. is that I choose courage over my fear to explore more, to see what is above, behind and under of everything , I always wanted to try diff. things. (I wonder how my parents created me. haha) I am not contented of what is just being displayed, and they might think it in a wrong way ( like I do not care with my group, Im just thinking about myself, or...) actually I am not forcing them to do things that I wanna do, I just want them to try and fail than not trying at all.
So what am I fighting for? hahah. I just wanna say thank you to these courageous kids who rode on with my craziness. While taking photos in every corner of PICO DE LORO, we went far and far from the base camp trying to discover everything what mountain has, so we climb, that..that..hehe above photo, knowing that NO one ever got interested to go there, how did I know? Yes! someone obviously went there because we found a trail however it looks old seems no one ever really tried go there for a year??? hehe.
As promised I really need to climb the Parrot's Beak, and we made it, we successfully overcome the fear and doubts. It was not really hard you just need a bit knowledge of rock climbing.
WAY TO PARROT'S BEAK.
Two of us (jacky and Kuya mel) left and stayed at the first peak because they don't wanna take the risk. hehe so they were the photographer ..thanks to them for the Good shot.
So we were so proud and happy, the next plan? do the traverse trek, I agreed to try the diff. trail going back to the city because it is more better, "isnt it?" because it will be a diff. experience.. right? Not all of us want to do it, and that was for sure, well I cannot blame them it they just wanted a safe and sure way, afraid to get lost and so on..but still we did traverse trek, it was unplanned so this was really exciting. I am excited.
And the trail was not so hard and it was clean not bumpy :)
We found water source.. Not so clean, " there is no dirty water when you are thirsty. hahaha.. look at that. mga UHAW!
Finally we found the way out.
Wait there is more, while we were resting, we all decided and agreed to go to the beach, imagine after the long "walkaton" naisip pa namin un..eh gala eh.. I had so fun kahit paubos na budget ang saya padin:)
Because everybody was tired we just enjoy the beach for a while, sing a song:) a little empelights then I decided to take a rest, most of us.. look at that..hahaha
We left the Beach at 3am, ate Batangas Lomi, and finally ....happynings was done..
Adventure to MT. ROMELO
Jump-off: Brgy. Macatad, Upland Siniloan
Elevation: 300 MASL
Features: Waterfalls, rain forest
May 3-4 2014
Let me start with my apology to Team bebe, sorry for 2 hours of waiting.. (epic fail ang meeting time/place).
How to get there? Our meeting place was in Shaw Boulevard.. This was a cut cut cut travel. PUV Van going to Tanay Rizal (Php. 75.oo) more than 1.5 hours of travel from Tanay, Jeep going to Siniloan (Php. 44.oo) 1 hour and Tricyce going to jump off less than an hour (Php 100.oo (20.oo each).
After our heavy late lunch, we started our trek, (medyo nagmamatigas at nagmamarunong ayaw kumuha ng guide, hahah hiindi malaman kung saan paroroon, at na pagdesisyunan sige kumuha ng guide. ) Why so madami kasing daan hah hah??
MT. ROMELO is known as land of Waterfalls, according to my research, it has many hidden falls ( aha!) Unfortunately I can't tell if how many falls they have because of time shortage ( harhar) 1 day is not enough, so we only saw 3?? (dpa sure)
How was the trail? Summer season so it wasn't muddy as I thought. It's just that a plenty of poops bothered me, hahah, poops here, there, everywhere.
Because I'm a bit lazy I won't take this any longer, I will just make my story short! I HAD FUN! see photos below.
"Climbing is as close as we can come to flying.”
― Margaret Young
What activity should every traveler in the Philippines try, and why? MT. ROMELO, come and feel the fresh air, try the benefits of walking, see wonderful creature!
"The best climber in the world is the one who's having the most fun."
Arrival to the camp site was 7PM , well well well, no more enough space for our tent, I mean atleast comfortable area, yung tipo sanang hindi masyadong mabato u know!, kaso wala eh,..tiis tiis. at dahil masikip para sa apat ang aming tent, hoohh.. It was so maiinit. AMoy kulob at pawis, hahah carry mo??
A night of Ghost stories while drinking Empe. ( hmmp, natinulugan ko dahil hindi ko gustu talaga ang lasa, ) Here we go.. Going to the main attraction.
Again because it's summer we do not expect an over flowing water from the falls, luckily the rain was with us, saaarrraaaap mamasyal sa gubat habang umuulan.
I got the name of these falls from our tour guide,. sana tama pinagssabi nya po, The falls was relaxing, massage therapy :)
A round of applause to us and to our best Tour Guide! clap clap clap.. Very informative, makulit, magaling magaling.
PERFECT weekend getaway!
Revisiting Mt. Batulao with Team Paasa
April 19, 2014
Climbing the same mountain twice or more is a different experience and tells different story! indeed, we had so many unforgettable epic moments here in MT. BATULAO .
This was the mountain I've been with for the very first time , so since this is my second time here I will be the one who served as their tour guide. naks!
Mt. Batulao consist of many peaks ( I'm not sure how many it has, but I saw 10 peaks, but local said it has 12? okey..Each peak have different level of difficulty but you can only see almost same view. lol!!
This was a traverse hike, again from new trail to old trail ang trekked namin, according to my firstimer buddies, it was easy to take new trail for going up, and it was hard for them the old one, ( Actually it was not hard, the only problem is when you are afraid of heights, matarik yung pababa from the summit using old trail. The trail was dusty, always bring wet wipes and more water. oh I would advise you to use trekking shoes/sandals, or else uuwi ka with barefoot!
This guy, wrapped with sense of humor.hahaha.. bentang benta siya sa mababaw kong kaligayahan, naman! reliever lang naman siya ng pagod ko! :)
After a months since I've been here, the mountain changed a lot, or maybe the mountain wasn't the same like the first time I saw it.
It turns me blue! :( I was so $^#$& when I saw this situation, the mountain was burned so bad! I asked locals, others said they burned to plant ( something to eat or sell to earn I guess) and others said (para daw maganda ulit ang tubo ng mga talahib after rainy season.) anyway whatever their reason, I was not happy with it.!
I had many memories with this mountain and I will collect more.
The laughter that you guys brought was epic..hoooh I will never forget how hard this was to the firstimer.Special mention to "Jackie"
Im a silent climber, whahah,,Sa kanila ang kwento sakin na lang ang napakalakas na TAWA!
This was also the pinakamatagal na trek I had. hahah. alot of breaktime and photoshot, we started our trek at 9am reached Peak10 at 12pm, then we reached the jump off at 6? hahah. amazing, but it was fine, we own our time anyway.
Before we start to conquer the mountain.. (yeahboy!) nagpakabusog muna kami, at bawal mag second order ng sabaw na free. Ask me if masarap foods nila dali! I won't tell!! :P
My expenses for this climb:
Bus fare 106 (212)
Buko 25 & 20
Total- 724pesos??? shocking!!

Since I am alone I really need to be friends with others, I started talking with them and need to make myself comfortable to enjoy this climb :D (para hindi ka naman mag mukhang loner. hehe)
As we arrived in Baguio, wow the weather was pretty cold. (Sabi ko nga mahina ako sa lamig, so I was bit freezing while others were acting as if it was just a normal temperature) . Waiting for everybody and everything to be set then here we go! The departure, we are now going to the ranger station; Took our breakfast, we had an orientation in DENR ( I bought souvenir shirt and trekking pants)
Teary eye :P My heart was carried away by the absolutely incredible and wonderful Mountain Province. Yes it was my first time and I really wanna go back here over and over again ( I even want to build my house here lol). It was relaxing refreshing seeing those houses built up in there, the zigzag road over the mountain?, how amazing it was! #HappinessOverLoad. I chose not to sleep like others did because I don't want to missed everything ( the grass, trees, rocks, the formation of mountains, as in everything ) Benguet is a blessed province.
At ranger station jump off. Meet our tour guide. I did not hire a porter because I was confident that I can carry my own baggage. We started our trek with other hikers, we were talking enjoying the sunlight and the scenery. Oh noh.. ( I cant breath I can't even walk as fast as they can, that feeling bothered me and I really need to get a porter, my bag was so heavy and I just can't continue my hike while carrying such bag. :( Yes, now I know, My body is not strong enough. Our tour guide offered that she will just carry my Bag " Actually we switched our Bag.. hmmmp ( though I'm gonna pay her she still need a help, kawawa, plus it wasn't planned)
Here we are in Camp 1, others were busy for photo shot while me was busy eating my jellystick. I was so hungry :) (As always). I was a bit ashamed or I was just not confident having a conversation with them ( English kasi sila te! my nose is bleeding) , but it was just fine, I know I am enjoying myself while listening to them. ( Hhahah..Stupid kind of thinking).
At Campsite 2. (12:30pm) Busy setting up their own tent, Thanks for the very helpful hand of our tour guide, they helped me building my tent. My tent is color yellow, I love yellow colors, (salamat naman!). From here you can witness and enjoy the beauty of the mountain in Benguet.
My head is aching, (dahil siguro sa pagod, gutom, init, lamig init ulit tapos lamig na naman. ) I need to take a little rest.
Thank you to sir William for carrying my tent, and letting me borrow his trekking pole. I was lucky enough to meet a kindhearted people when you are alone :) Thumbs up Sir Will.
Don't be afraid to ask favor when you need a help, Leave your fear and face the world ( hahaha. anu daw?)
Output Of Borrowed Digicam (Thanks to my ate francin) click photo for large view
The Latrine, an outdoor toilet that is usually a hole dug in the ground, do you imagine how it looks or how it smells, this has been using by many campers. hahah ( YES! the scent of this toilet is deadly. ) (Tiis tiyaga lang ang peg ko dito grabi!) This is important to protect the mountain! Kapag wala tu eh d isa ng malaking banyo ang Campsite! haha na lang. ( I pops here twice! yikes)
(4:40pm) I love nature, I love nature, I love nature! hahah I was so excited to feel the fog,! Indeed the surrounding is getting dirtywhite, it's getting cold here, you need to wear a water prof. jacket or thermal jacket. #SuppahhLammegg!! Feel the cold! damdamin ang fog na dumadampi sa aking mga labi.. I lyv it!. I walked around to see and experience the feeling of being here in the middle of the mountain. I observed and took photos! It's getting foggy, the search is over ( heavyfog hindi ko na makita yung way pabalik :) buti na lang at nagpiktyur na ako ng madami kanina kasi hindi na humuhupa yung fog at mukhang uulan pa.) Now, always take the opportunity to take photos when there is a good spot though you will be staying there, who knows? Just like now there is rain coming.
We took our dinner too early, kasi nga it's getting dark na.. Baka hindi kami magkita kita. I included my foods in the package so I ate with the group at the Kubo.
Now it's bedtime!
I'm going to sleep alone in my yellow tent :(. Here is now the drama of my trip. I'm going to eat my baon na snacks alone, I'm going to suffer the cold alone, I'm going to talk to myself how excited I am, Selfie mode ako because I'm alone (Traveling alone is not bad, but sometimes it is sad ) I'm too small for my tent.
I fell asleep wearing 1 shirt, 2 jackets, leggings, my new trekking pants, 3socks, bonnet, and gloves inside my sleeping bag. Tell me how cold it was there then!
After an hour I woke up chilling. I panicked and I was so scared. Am I gonna be awake tomorrow? Or I will be dead! I'm not being OA, seriously it was so cold, I was freezing, I even thought to go out and ask for help. The wind and rain was strong and getting stronger as the time goes by. To stop me from worrying I think the best solution to heat me up, I put all of my clothes, towel, plastic inside my sleeping bag, then it worked! I fell asleep again, I don't know why I always get awake every two hours.
We need to leave the campsite at 3:30am to start our trek going to the summit, ( pero hindi pa din tumitigil ang ulan ;( ). Hot coffee before the trek :D (Akala ko ako lang ang nag freeze kagabi, not now when I heard them talking, complaining and look so violet).
The trek has started! We are now walking in a grassland with strong wind and little raindrops. (Thanks to my instinct, what if I didn't bought my trekking pants? I will become a snowman then!) Malamig, Malamig,, Malamig, Malamig, talagang napakalamig, my inner jacket is starting to get wet, my hand is getting numb. I don't have raincoat so tiis tiis me!
Finally we reached the summit, the space is so small, very few can accommodate.( anyway according to DENR, they set schedule and assign other climber to stay in peak 1, 2 or 3 due to the small space of the highest peak, hmmp. me in doubt :P)
We made it! The problem was we were all freezing, waiting for the sunrise and the sea of clouds, unfortunately we were not so lucky to see it.
I went back with disappointment. :( (Bakit ngayon pa nagkaroon na lowpressure! bkt?)
I was not able to capture the pretty view of mountain due to heavy fog and rainfall, I also need to keep the borrowed digicam dry (Thanks again to ate francin)
Let me introduce to you the Director Organizer of our trip, MR. TEE, - ironically he is not a Filipino, ( ganun talaga! ) .
I will recommend you this TRipinas Tour Venture because of good experience I had with them, I'm not gonna specify everything, Mr. Tee is good organizer, very hands-on and very good..hahah.. un lang..
I was so hurry to get back at ranger station, I did not wait for my group, I really wanna wash up and get rest!
By the way, if you would ask if how was the trail, well it was not hard, in fact the trail was clean like you can run freely, I think locals fixed the way to be more comfortable, it was not so steep not even slippery, the problem I encountered was the cold weather.
We dropped by here to receive our award and return our rented gear. Ambuklao Dam is a ..........DAM. hahah. Do I need to explain further?
We have more hours left before the departure of our Bus going to Manila, We spent it wandering Baguio City, my first time in SM Baguio :) We ate our dinner in a local restaurant "Oh my gulay" I ordered the Oh my Gulay Meal. Certified Rapsa, sulit and affordable! I was with Ronnie and Ate che, ( Thanks for paying the bill. I am grateful :D)
ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Farewell to you new acquaintance, the tour is over. I had fun, I had fun. I am thankful because we get back safe and sound.

Dare to climb the Parrot's Beak
March 15, 2014
My third hike, now we are not just two we are three.. toinks! . Again Juna and she hatak her friend Kawi. This climb was led by juna beacuse I was too busy to check some itineraries from other blogger and everything so she was in charged for the plan.
How to get there?
We took Bus from Coastal Terminal going to Ternate Cavite, We were the last passenger of the Bus. The driver knows where to drop you, just ask. Tricycle (P75perhead) going to DENR ( for registration) (P25).
Start of trek. ! Dayhike.
The cute (langka) (My nakasimangot, may parang fetus at atbp.) Kawi brought smile to us, he's just so funny even if he's not joking. hahah. The good thing of climbing with a group- (yes! madami na kami nyan..hahah.) is that because you can share stories, talk about everything then you won't notice your sweat ( d nga?!) the tiresome and the distance you have been walking.
Always wear suitable clothing for climbing :) Bring sunblock, shades, enough water and food for snacks. The trail was bit harder, it was rockyroad hahah and maugatroad. Since we start our trek early morning I enjoyed the maiingay na cricket! (I just missed that kind of noise, nagsasawa na kasi ako sa ingay ng Manila!) We met many firs-timer along the way. (And napapasmile na lang ako how looked haggard they were. xempre malamang ako din) throughout the trail I just noticed that there were no buko/softdrinks vendor, only at the Camp site, (malayo naman talaga kasi sa kabihasnan). Oh by the way there was no Buko at all, only softdrinks (^_^) . (Reminder huwag gawing tubig ang mountaindew (softdrinks po) yes it's thirst reliever but not really good. Why? ( Dahil malakas sa softdrinks si Juna, after climb nilagnat siya, cause active UTI, reason? I don't know I just assumed that it was because of excessive soda consumption or too much sugar intake (since she were sweating nababawasan ung tubig sa katawan niya). (Ako na po ang doktor.hahah well tell me what you know about this).
When you are really tired you just need to be silent and stop from talking ( hahah. ganito kami hindi muna bati bati dahil talagang mapapagod ka or I need my breath!! ( @#*^(^(&($%^&^&^*). Since we were only doing a day hike kailangan madami ang bilis kaysa sa pahinga. So finally we reached the camp site. Here we were taking photos under the sun! ( grabi ang init). The view from the camp site was beautiful, I was already contented but still I want to reach the peak.
That's what I'm talking about. That! that peaks. We need to go there. After pahinga we started to reach the star. (Oo, kaya natin tu!)
Mahirap ba? Mahirap ba? If I would rate the difficulty amhh.It was 4/10.
What makes it hard? Well it's madulas and matarik walang hawakan you need to crawl if you don't want to get lipad lipad by the strong wind. ( aha! medyo malakas yung hangin at pabigla bigla ). Disgusting the alikabok. (Napupuwing us ooohh!) haha.. part of climbing I'm not mad. I love dust It makes me busog.
The medyo mabagal mode of my friendships.. Hey! we're getting closer to the summit ! hurry up. Me feeling so excited. I wanna shout, I wanna hear by the whole world how glad I am being here in lovely mountain, seeing from here the ahmhmhmhpp scenery.
Yes I made it, Yes! we reached the summit, but wait there's more!! for now enjoy first the view!
The Parrot's Beak. The highlight. Don't ask me if I climbed that because the answer is ( hmmp para yan lang!) NO! .hahah..Not because I don't want to, but because as a first timer I'm not gonna do that alone! I need expert to guide me I need to climb that with someone I could trust. hahah. (Ayaw po ng dalawa kong kasama magtry. They don't wanna take the risk. So we just took many many many many pictures same same same style hahahahah.. dahil tatlo lang kami let's do the the selfie.
Wait! I will give it a try, see below!
Well, when I thought I was already contented by the view from camp site and from the summit still I want to try this one! My heart was beating so fast! I really wanna go up there. Opo, bumaba ako, encouraging myself and asking for strength from my heart, my body , brain and my soul. (Please samahan nyu na kasi ako!) . (Hey! naakyat mo po ba yung peak? I asked the GUY coming near to me. Hindi! nanginig ako, lubid na kasi kakapitan! AH! first time mo? Uu! ) Joyce was disappointed! Okey better luck next time. I will be back for you :/. ) No matter how tough you are you still need to trust your instinct. (Say No if you can't but say Yes always. hahah. POWER! )
Yehey! Happy Kids! Forget the heat, forget the dust.Enjoy the breeze. Let's enjoy our stay here! feel at home. nyak! We were proud to ourselves.
The feeling of being exhausted but you still need to push more up to the end.. hahah.. baba o baba o baba.. hahah.. We wanna fly na lang!. The suffering of going down. Heps! It was not hard as you and I thought. hindi naman mahirap. just dahan-dahan. It feels like there was someone behind my back and pushing me. (What do you call that in science?- Gravity $@&%^*$^7) hahaha..
We took shower in DENR. ang saaaaraaaap ng malamig na water! I swear! Back to manila.
The end of our adventure. I'm happy. Yes we were. There's a part of me saying I'm sad. 1. I did not make it to Parrot's Beak :( 2. I saw that other climber left their non-biodegradable waste in the mountain (Obviously intentional). Not so good behavior, and what makes it worst? was us not taking the initiative to bring down the trash! ( Let me explain.hihi. we were tired and we do not have enough plastic for that, we were not able to carry them.)
Rockies (706m), the summit (930m)
Major Jumpoff: Mountaineer's Store, Brgy. 7 "Siete", Cuenca
Features: Scenic views of Taal Lake, rock formations, forests
March 8, 2014
How to get there:
We took Bus from Buendia (DLTB) going to Lipa Batangas then we drop off in Tambo, Batangas. We ride a jeep bound to Lemery ( We drop off in Cuenca. ), you can ask the driver to drop you off in Cuenca if you don't know the place. Ride a tricycle going to jump off. ( Idadaan kayu sa registration blaahh (P20) per head)) Landmark where you will start the trek is the Mountaineer Store ( The Lomi there is delisyoso.)
Another dayhike exploration. Before we start our trek we took first our brunch in Mang ____??place ( I forgot his name, basta meron silang videoke and tindang souvenir na damit).
The trail was kinda magubat. (We were walking under the trees, mabato, at papataas ng pataas). Again more water please! I admit this was a tiring trek. :P
We reached the camp site. Meet my workmate (Si Juna- ang madaming pahinga..heheh this was her first climb.. Thanks to her for joining my trip. She love climbing mountains too :) #Thehaggardlook ) I thought we reached the highlight of the mountain. I was so wrong. :/ (But I won't give up). Look below!
Juna refused to climb until the what they called Rockies.I understand that she was so tired and reserving her remaining strength. (I need to encourage her. hahah. hindi ako makakapayag na hindi siya sumama. Syempre unang una ayaw ko naman mag isa, pangalawa would I allow her to put her effort into waste by not seeing the real beauty of it? No way!! Pangatlo, who will take photos then?hehahu ) Yes! it was scary but not by the time when we were there. It was tiring but fulfilling (for me) . In this part you need to be more careful.
Look at that smile I am wearing. Believe me, being in nature is really 1937658385% stress reliever. We stayed there for an hour to take pictures and supervise ( ???@$&@*) hahah I mean to relax and enjoy the view of Taal Lake and Batangas nearby places.
Climbing is now a family bonding. I saw a couple with very cute baby ( a month or 1 year old ). Climbing is good for dating ( looking for special someone who will climb with me..ahahah).
or See the beauty of rockies: (My slideshow)
I was thinking to commit suicide but the beauty of Lake changed my MIND then I lived happily ever after. (ahahahahaha. Im so in love with you).
Don't text while on the cliff. whahaha...Like what I've mentioned in my "About's" I'm fearless.. Me enjoying the breeze while browsing my phone. (Kapag lumakas ang hangin at hindi ako prepare pwede ako mahulog) I ignored that fact, but the guy came and shared a story about the death of a male climber who fell down exactly that area where I was at. ( hmmmpp the story makes me sad and I don't wanna die exactly like him. )
Remember this is not a marathon, you are climbing the mountain! Huwag mag magaling! haha. No it was not like that. Dahil hindi ako makapagbwelo pababa I just decided to jump thought that it would be more easy but I was not able to control my speed so un! I hold the cogon grass ( blady grass) to stop myself and the result is that very cute wound.
Be friends with others, talk to them, learn from them, laugh with them as if you know each other then take photos.
Learn to respect, give way to others, greet other climbers, give them your warmest smile.
I made it. My second hike. I wish I could go back here then experience the grotto trail. Enjoy your climb no matter how tiring it is. Enjoy your moment, Enjoy the chance that the mountain given us to see their alluring beauty. Again let's dispose our TRASH properly. Good luck to you. Have fun!
Jump-off point: Evercrest Golf Course, Nasugbu

Feb., 15, 2014
My first climb. My sister invited me for a climb ( she was invited by his friend) I did not hesitate, I said yes, sure! (agad.agad) this has been my dream so this is it! . (nag absent pa ako sa work for this climb ) and I never regret it .
Meet my sister and his friend – (little john)
It was bliss when I saw the fantastic scenery up from the mountain. Hindi ko ramdam ang pagod at init while reaching the summit. It feels like I'm walking in the air (echos) as the saying said first step is the hardest, well not in here not to me .. (yabangsss) It was extremely awesome, at first I was overexcited I even want to jump and run but I need to walk slowly for my safety (There are some possibility that you might fall on a cliff and die :D
We took the new trail to old. ( Yes, there are two trail - the old and the new (duh! haha) ) I enjoyed the new one, challenging.! it's a traverse hike, the old trail is kinda boring for me or maybe I was just so tired :/)
Please bring enough water as you climb, ( ako kasi mauhawin so I consumed 2000 ml. for this dayhike plus the buko juice). Wear a shoes that suits for the climb ( naaah..my mga nakita akong naka step in/ doll shoes- I saw they were struggling.) I would have worn leggings if I knew that I had to pass the mahahabang damo, ( nagtamo ako ng maliliit na bruise:/). Gloves will also help you to protect your hands from mud ( of course you cannot avoid touching the sharp rock formation and grass (they used as handrail- I mean I used them as my handrail).
As a begginer Im kinda snob (hahah) this was the first time that I experienced how nice people were while they were in the mountain. (???) ( Its me nganga ..na aamaze ako..binabati nila ako, " goodmorning ma'am ingat " ) just then I realized ganito pala! just a part of respect ( that's what I felt) the support and making you feel that go for gold! climb more!!.
This mountain is good for a beginner, the trail is easy ( come on!) just do work out before climbing ( ang sakit kasi sa katawan kapag nabigla). There are available local Tour Guide in the area cost (P300) however it is not necessary specially during weekends ( there are many hikers, you can go along with them - or matatanaw din naman sila/yung way. :) But if you are really generous, scared to get lost and with enough budget please get a tour guide. You will be a big help to them. ( Ang pag to-tour guide ng mga bata/matanda sa lugar na ito ay ang kanilang kumikitang kabuhayan.)
How to get there?
From Pasay rotonda take bus going to Nasugbu Batangas, (P105 bus fare) get off in Evercrest Golf Course, Nasugbu. Take a tricycle to jump off point (P100 fare – P20perhead)(the driver knows where, they are very accommodating, you could trust them)
Start of our trek.! We pay twice for registration fee (P20 each – total of P40) in new trail and old ( I wonder why, anyway…)
Goodluck for your climb and takecare.
"Don't Change The Mountain, Let The Mountain Change You"
I am begging please don't leave your things unattended ( nyak!) DON'T LEAVE YOUR TRASH UP ON THE MOUNTAIN :( Throw it in the right place or bring it home. (Ako na po ang nagpapaka good.hahah- well you decide).
End of my first climb. One of my cheapest exploration. Thank you God for one of your GREATEST CREATION.
